On Saturday, we packed up Emmett and Lucas to head a couple hours north for a little dog-sitting action. My aunt has two pups: Louis, a bichon/shih tzu mix, and Lucy, a 10-month-old Portuguese water dog. The four dogs were joined by my mom’s dog Otto for a weekend of fun, fun, fun.
They all got along really well and spent the two days running, chasing, wrestling, and playing keep-away with various toys.
And they took occasional breaks.
Mostly, though, they ran. Note the swimming pool in my aunt’s backyard. That swimming pool kept me on my toes the entire weekend because Lucy likes to run across it. It makes me insane. Apparently it’s designed to hold a child’s weight or something, but I couldn’t take it. That sort of thing is far, far too stressful for me!
By the time night fell, the gang was wiped!
They all had a wonderful time, but I think Emmett and Lucas were ready to get home. As soon as we got in the door, they both dove into their beds and have been asleep ever since. Well, with one time-out to eat dinner!

Love it when the pups are pooped! Had two bigger than normal walks this weekend and my dogs are still sleeping it off.
